Men's Committee

Can you remember a Spring with such cool, wet weather? Have you ever seen so much water on the golf course? Kudos to Eric and his staff for trying to keep up and have us on the course as much as possible.

Despite all of the "weather", we have had only one rained out event and attendance, while down slightly year over year, has remained steady. Changes announced in the Spring Newsletter have been mostly well received and should be considered permanent. To date winners in the Cleaners competition have been 2 A Flight; 7 B Flight; 3 C Flight and 4 D Flight. Everyone is encouraged to participate as the chances of winning have certainly improved. Don't forget the end of year draw for $225. from our sponsor, Lindsay Cleaners. You need to win a Cleaner to qualify. As always, your comments and feedback are welcome.

Upcoming events include Mario's Hip of Beef on July 2 and 3; Steak or Beans on July 5 and the Member Guest on July 19. All of these events feature meals prepared by Chef Hudson and his staff, so please sign up for the events, experience the food everyone has been talking about and support "YOUR" golf course. Oh yeah, Scott tells me his recipe for "Beans" is to die for, in the event you are on the wrong side of the table for Steak or Beans.

Larry has confirmed that the Inter Club competition with Quarry, Baxter Creek and Black Diamond will be repeated this year. The initial organization is not in Larry's hands but should be finalized shortly. Look for sign up sheets and announcements.

Enjoy the rest of the golfing season and please support "Your" golf course and the Pro Shop.

Ladies' Committee

We are off to a wet start for the season. We are fortunate that we have a course that dries quickly — we sure have needed it this year.

We have had our opening scramble and welcomed some new members. We hope you are enjoying your new surroundings.

We have 45 ladies registered for the 18-hole league and 41 for the 9-hole league. Our next event is the Strawberry Tea on Wednesday, July 6th. We will play a scramble, have lunch, and then a silent auction. We hope everyone will contribute items to the auction and bring lots of money — we will also have a raffle and share-the-wealth followed by a brief business meeting. Guests are very welcome.

We hope members are enjoying the flower gardens. The ladies work very hard keeping them up — anyone is welcome to pull a weed as they walk by!

Congratulations to Lindsay ladies for winning the first event in our interclub. Good work. Congratulations also goes to Suzie Mitchell for her Hole-in-One — well done.

We have ordered up some dry warm weather for the rest of the season — enjoy!

Senior Men's Committee

The Senior Men's Division is doing well with attendance slightly up from previous years. There seems to be concern about running too many "Two Clubs and a Putter" tournaments even though some of the players found they scored better with just two clubs!

It is no longer an easy touch for the "Pot Hunters" as just this week we had ten golfers scoring forty or under for 9 holes, which should make for a very competitive Thursday Men's Senior Championship which will take place on July 28th

The Seniors have also accumulated about $1000 from their 50/50 and the Committee would like to hear what the Seniors would like this money put towards.

We invite all new members to come out and join us and share in the fun every Thursday morning.
